Tenuta La Mura

Vineyards on Mount Vesuvius, limited production, hands-on work in the field.

Tenuta La Mura is located in Boscotrecase, on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius.

We work on sandy volcanic soils, at around 200–250 meters above sea level, with south and south-east exposures. We cultivate Piedirosso, Aglianico and Caprettone, trained with Guyot and traditional Vesuvian pergola systems.

Production is limited: around 12,000 bottles per year.

Work at the estate

We produce Lacryma Christi DOC from Piedirosso and Aglianico, and a Metodo Classico from Caprettone, aged 36 months on the lees. Vinification takes place in stainless steel, with oak ageing where required.

Alongside wine, we also produce extra virgin olive oil and honey. The estate includes a tasting room and a small food area, with visits available.

Tenuta La Mura is run by Sebastiano and Nicola La Mura, with agronomic and winemaking management by Piccirillo Winemakers.
